This scholarship program awards only the most outstanding international students who can provide a recommendation by APU.

Furthermore, the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has created this scholarship program for the sole purpose of enhancing international competitiveness and promoting the active exchange of international students in Japanese universities.

Nonetheless, the studies will take place in the city of Beppu, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) and students will attend the undergraduate program which offers the chance to complete a four-year bachelor’s degree while getting to experience a unique multicultural learning environment.

What’s great about winning a scholarship in this program is the fact that students will attend classes that are interactive but not just that, they will also get the opportunity to gain real-world experience through programs such as volunteering for example.

After graduating from this scholarship program, the students will have all the knowledge and intercultural communication skills that they need in order to get a job anywhere in the world. Now, this is not a promise that most scholarships are willing to make.
