The Heinrich Böll Foundation in Germany for International Students: Benefits
The biggest benefit that the Heinrich Böll Foundation offers is the chance to study at a state or state-recognized University in Germany. However, that’s not all. Check out below the financial help that this scholarship program provides to international students.
- Masters Studies
Non-European applicants who are studying for Master’s are awarded 850 Euros per month alongside various individual allowances. Some universities also cover tuition fees. European students will receive 649 Euros alongside 300 Euros for book money. On the downside of things, European students cannot benefit from tuition fee coverage.
- PhD Studies
Non-European students who are studying for their PhD will benefit from 1,200 Euros per month and 100 Euros mobility allowance per month. European students will benefit from 1,350 Euros per month and 100 Euros for research costs. Tuitions fees are not available at the PhD level.
The Heinrich Böll Foundation in Germany for International Students: Criteria
International Master students who earned their university entrance qualification outside Germany:
- You may apply before commencing your Masters program or at any time up to the end of the first semester of the Masters program.
- Proof of first professional qualification must be provided
International Doctoral students who earned the university entrance qualification outside Germany:
- The applicant must have been accepted as a doctoral student by a state or state-recognized university in Germany. Proof of admission, as a rule in Germany, must be included with the application.
- By the application date, preliminary work must have been completed and a valid timetable for completion must be submitted.
- PhD subjects related to focal points of the Foundation’s activities will be given priority.
